ACCOMMODATION

Plus Camping Michelangelo is unique in combining youth hostel type accommodation with a camping location, providing private or shared (mixed) options much like a room with 3 comfy beds, blankets and pillows. And there’s no curfew either. If you are coming home late it is advisable to have torch ready as the house tents don’t have electricity.

All house tents can be locked for security and security boxes are available at reception.

Bed linen and towels can be rented on site.

For those bringing their own tent there is ample space to pitch it.

You can bring your own camper or caravan and we provide you with electricity and water connections at each pitch.

For groups wanting to stay with us (minimum 20 persons) we offer special discounted rates as well as deals on breakfast lunch and dinner. Enquiries should be directed to michelangelo@plusvillages.com . Booking in advance is recommended!

FACILITIES

Credit Cards

You are able to use credit cards (Visa or MasterCard) to pay for your accommodation provided the bill totals to more than €100 otherwise please pay by cash or by travellers cheque.

Internet

Our Internet point is situated right beside the Terrace bar and offers free internet booking for all onward hostel accommodation through to any other PLUS property through plusvillages.com.

Supermarket

The supermarket is situated below the bar. It is stocked with all the basic essentials on a daily basis. As well as the basics indulge yourself with all the good Italian things such as Good Chianti, Fresh Parmesan Cheese with Proscciuto (yummy) and freshly baked bread.

If you are feeling a little home sick we may just have what you are looking for in the way of comfort food as the market is also stocked with a large variety of International goodies.

Money Matters

Our staff at reception are happy to change international currency to the Euro.
On site there is an ATM/Cash machine for those wanting to withdraw cash.

Bathroom Facilities

Due to the nature of tent accommodation (obviously we can’t place a bathroom in a tent) there are both separate male and female bathroom facilities available.

We have just renovated the bathrooms to a high standard. If there is no toilet paper or they need cleaning please contact a member of staff.

A little quirk of the toilet facilities is that there is no separate toilet paper for each cubicle . There however is a massive toilet paper dispenser hung in both male and female toilets so make sure you grab some before sitting down.

Laundry Facilities

To keep you looking as stylish as the locals we have large 8kg washing and drying machines available. Tokens can be bought from reception.

Security

All of our tents are lockable and come with a padlock. However like every hostel you should leave your valuables in one of the safety deposit boxes which are available to rent.

There is always security at the entrance to the village and security patrols the grounds on a 24hr basis. Please always have your camping pass with you when entering the campground to show to the security guys.

TERRACE BAR

Our bar offers the best panoramic views of Florence of any hostel. Sit back and put your feet up with a cold one looking out over the red tile rooftops and not forgetting of course the Duomo, all that under a big blue Tuscan sky.

The bar is fully stocked and offers light meals such as pizza, rolls and sandwiches.

RESTAURANT ‘RITROVO MICHELANGELO’

Enjoy authentic Tuscan fare in this historic restaurant just over the road from Plus Camping Michelangelo. Great value meals from a tasty menu with a range of options, from traditional dishes to the staples of pizza and pasta. Take your camping pass with you as all Plus guests receive a 10% discount off their meal bill.
